   Job Scope

Pre-Construction Stage (Planning, Design, Procurement) Derive Project Targets: 

  • Plan for Construction Site Planning/Phases based on original tender 

  • Fix Construction milestones using tender programme and finalize Master Construction Programme with site manager and client/consultants 

  • Work out required dates for drawings from consultants (i.e. ST approval) and L&W Construction drawings approval (with technical department) 

  • Setting up internal programmes i.e. Structure Formwork Coordination & detail floor cycle programme, Labour Histogram, Structure and Archi Works weekly forecast 

 

Construction Stage Progress Report Updates:

  • Track Delays 

  • Analyze reports i.e. identify key bottle neck for progress and plan and chase for resources required to solve issues 

  • Chasing sub-contractors for delivery/fabrication programmes for analysis and monitoring 

  •  Any revision of programmes required to reflect acceleration works on Site or EOT claim 

 

Coordination with Specialist Subcon and Facilitate on site delivery 

  • Monitoring subcon delivery/fabrication schedule against internal programmes and highlight any bottleneck/discrepancy/signs of delay 

  • Assist SM and production team on sequence of works 

  • Precast items i.e. PBU, Staircase, Refuse Chute, HHS Door frame 

  • Other Materials i.e. Marble Drylay, Delivery, Appliances Delivery, Façade system delivery 

  • Formwork system coordination between subcon and supplier i.e. submission of drawings for approval and material delivery schedule. (Formwork Material Control) 

 

Post Construction Stage (Operations & Maintenance) Paperwork Support:

  • Assist Site Engineer in documentation and admin works, monthly bulletin, site photos, cube test record, trial mix record, inspection form records, and site inspection with RTOs 

  • Prepare Memo replies and ERD replies and official letters or undertaking letters required by Client/Consultants for site manager review & submission 

  • Compile all site photos, test reports required due to unauthorized and incorrect works and reply to Architect accordingly 

  • Recording of site walks and inspections with authorities (RI, BCA) and Architects for L&W follow-up actions 

  • Prepare for RFAM performance rest reports for approval 

  • Prepare Method Statement as and when requested especially when subcon can’t do up to consultants standards 

  • Prepare Green Mark substantiation documents to submit to consultants 

  • Assist in EOT claim by liaising with claim consultants (in terms of programme/timeline)

  • Prepare all TOP (certs, annex A, letters, signpost, crest level etc.) for submission 

Engineer QA/QC

  • Implement, Monitor and continuously improve the QA/QC process as defined in the company's IMS.

  • Establish GPT Schedule and arrange & conduct QA Awareness & GPT Training to existing staff and new recruits

  • Conduct briefing to site staff on Quality procedures / work instructions related to their scope of works.

  • Ensure In-process inspection at various stages as defined in the IMS

  • The QA/QC Manager in conjunction with L&W Quality Management Representative will be responsible to coordinate the audit with Auditors.

  • Prepare project Quality appraisal report and submitted to Site Manager

Senior Engineer QA/QC

Senior Manager - Contracts

   Job Scope

  • The project Contracts Manager in conjunction with the Site Manager has to supplement the master construction programme with a detailed procurement schedule to show the lead times required for materials purchasing and appointment of Subcontractors. 

  • The updating of the procurement schedule shall be carried out regularly by the project Contracts Manager in conjunction with the Site Manager and Planner.

  • Ensuring that Subcontractors/Suppliers are sourced to meet the milestones shown in the Procurement Schedule

  • Maintaining the ‘Approved Subcontractor/Supplier List’ (ASL) and making recommendations to the Director-in-charge for appointment of new Subcontractors/Suppliers not on the ASL.

  • To maintain all drawings, sketches, information, calculations, data and records pertaining to survey work carried.

   Job Scope

  • The Architect is primarily responsible to lead the coordination within the technical team (Structural, Architectural and M&E) in identifying and resolving design, specifications, construction methodology, sequencing and maintenance issues, balancing contractual obligations, statutory requirements, site progress and product workmanship while ensuring that timely progress of works on site with timely issuances of shop drawings.

  • The Architect will also interface with the Consultants, Client and/or Authorities to ensure the timely resolution of such issues.  

  • Leads the coordination of the technical departments within the office.

  • Drives and Monitors the production of schematic design, design development and construction documents i.e. shop drawings, material approval, mock-ups etc

Site Engineer

   Job Scope

  • Receive and study the design drawings for adequacy and accuracy, seek clarifications if any from the Sr. Site Engineer

  • Identify issues if any or missing details prepare and send Request for Information in standard format in consultation with the Sr. Site Engineer and CM and seek the required details from Architect/consultant.

  • Plan daily and weekly work for the allocated areas in consultation with Sr. Site Engineer and CM. Seek advice on the construction methods to be adopted as per the agreed Method statements

  • Ensure the sub-contractors personnel are using correct data and drawings and methods of construction.

  • Monitor and supervise the Sub-Contractors works and report progress and issues/concerns to the Sr. Site Engineer and CM.

  • Inspect the Sub-Contractors works in progress for conformance to quality and design. Identify non-compliances to standards, code of practices and workmanship as per the parameters in inspection checklist.

  • Progressively monitor the quality of works and get the rectifications done if any in timely manner. 

  • Arrange for internal inspection by QA/QC engineer. Liaise with Sr. Site Engineer to raise Request for Inspection to arrange for inspection of Civil and Structural works from Client Representative/ PMC. 

  • Maintain the record of all the inspection of works as per the standard inspection checklists. 

  • Monitor Sub-Contractors off site activities where applicable

  • Proactively identify the M&E interfaces like openings, inserts, M&E penetrations etc. and liaise Sr. Site Engineers & M&E Engineers for coordination of these interfaces

  • Seek advice from Sr. Site Engineer & M&E engineers for target completion dates of civil works to give front to M&E works.

  • Maintain relevant quality records pertaining to all allocated works. (Inspection checks/test reports/results etc.). Inspect and liaise with Sr. Engineer to compile them for Section.

  • Maintain structural drawings, part prints and shop drawings in good order

  • Check setting out of formwork in conjunction with land surveyor. Ensure conformance to the approved drawings. Maintain survey records

  • Plan and order the quantities of concrete, steel and other material in conjunction with Sr. Site Engineer. Verify the same from QS engineer. Maintain the records of concrete and steel and other bulk material ordered and used. 

  • Assist and provide input to Sr. Site Engineer to prepare the daily site report for civil and structural works for the section. 

  • Prepare the bar bending schedule along with Sr. Site Engineer and submit to CM for verification before cutting. 

  • Assist Sr. Site Engineer to inspect rebar’s delivered at site with respect to the BBS and quality. Record acceptance/rejections.

  • Prepare daily concreting activity plan, get it reviewed from Sr. Site Engineer and seek approval from CM. In conjunction with Sr. Site Engineer, notify the client representative regarding expected inspection times.

  • Provide inputs and assist Sr. Site Engineer & CM in preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.

  • Monitor lifting facilities and liaise with Foremen & Sub-Contractors on hoisting. Assist Sr. Site Engineer to prepare hoisting schedule. 

  • Ensure implementation of trade handing over procedures and get progressive cleaning up of work areas done by respective contractors.

  • Implement L&W processes and systems under guidance from CM and use appropriate standard forms for process documentation. 

  • Attend refresher QA/QC training on quality and process compliance. 

  • Ensure all Sub-Contractors personnel are adopting safe work practices and using appropriate PPE’s which are maintained in good condition.

  • Ensure safe access is provided to the work places. 

  • Actively promote Safety good safety practices as per L&W standards during day to day execution of works. 

  • Contribute and support Sr. Engineer, CM and PM in achieving client satisfaction score.
